❌ How to Cancel Your SASSA Grant

Need to cancel or stop your SASSA grant? Here's how to do it officially.

⚠️ Before cancelling: Make sure you genuinely no longer need the grant. Cancellations cannot be instantly reversed — you will need to reapply.

How to Cancel Your SRD Grant Online

1 Log into srd.sassa.gov.za

Go to srd.sassa.gov.za and log in with your ID and phone number.

2 Go to "Cancel Application"

Look for the option to cancel your application in your account menu.

3 Confirm cancellation

Read the confirmation carefully, then confirm. You will receive an SMS confirming cancellation.

Cancel Other Grants (In Person)

For Older Persons, Disability, or Child Support grants, you must visit your nearest SASSA office in person with your ID to cancel.
