Your SASSA reference number is given to you when you apply or register with SASSA. You need it to follow up on your application or resolve issues.

Where to Find Your Reference Number

• 📱 Check your SMS messages — SASSA sends your reference number via SMS after application
• 📧 Check your email — if you provided one during application
• 🌐 Log into srd.sassa.gov.za — your reference number is displayed in your application
• 🏢 Visit SASSA office — bring your ID and they'll retrieve your reference number
• 📞 Call 0800 60 10 11 — have your ID number ready
